1998 Cherokee
I have had this Jeep for a while now and I am finally getting around to a build thread. Got the Jeep in June of 2011 for $1350 with 165K and minor body damage. Its a 1998 Cherokee SE, 5 speed, 4.0 liter, 4WD. The Jeep came from Virginia so I got lucky with NO RUST!

This is what it looked like when I first bought it, except the tints and roof rack I did that. I was on the way back from my first road trip about a week into owning it.

after getting back from the trip I decided to undercoat the bottom portion of the truck with rust-oleum rubberized undercoat.
Getting ready for paint
Finished Product, but I ended up breaking all the clips that hold the rear fender flairs on. They have not fit on right ever since and Jeep wants $80 a side so it sits a little crooked if you can notice. They have fell off a few times while driving too lol.

Some rims off a 2007 grand cherokee I was planning to buy but the lug pattern ended up being different.
And back to stock, Also did you notice the new fender, I lost the photos of the painting process though, but it looks better I just need to find a header panel.

After about 3 months with the undercoat at the bottom it started to fade. I decided to redo all of it with bed lining and get all the trouble spots that rust.

I had a lot of scratches on the roof from the previous owner having no roof rack. I saw on some trucks the roof have a black padding on the ridges so I decided to bed-line mine.

Finished up all the bed lining and ordered a header panel for only $43!
