1992 XJ Build

Hey there,

Bought my 1st Jeep 1992 XJ Sport 2DR, 4.0l, 5 spd, D30, Chry 8.25, NP231 R hitch - bone stock but in really decent shape for its age. I dig this XJ... I'll get pics up soon.

So Far:

Replaced all fluids, F Shocks, Stabilizer, Greased, Ign Tune Up, Filters, AC Conversion, F Calipers, Brake Master Cyl, Welded door hinges, VC gasket and bunch of little stuff like bulbs, wipers, antenna. Good off road for the little I've been. Cruises great on hwy.

Future:

Header Full Exhaust, Throttle body spacer, CAI, Bigger radiator, water pump, belt, hoses, bigger alternator, battery and wiring. Up a few inches with R Springs/shackles-bushings, F coils and spacers, 31s. Try to have decent XJ that I can still drive on hwy

Probably spring before I can spend much on her... I would eventually like to have another XJ to do lockers, more lift, SYE, more power and all the fun I'm learning can go with that...

Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated. It is however too late to tell me to go back, I'm hooked.

Thanks for reading

Scott

Congrats on your first XJ. Sounds like a good start. Lets see some pics if you can.

Hinge work

Saw the factory mod and it looked like a pain. Welded all hinges, seems good so far. I'm going to find a way to make the doors easily removeable, we'll see.
