Default 1992 cherokee: Ole dusty

So, when i put my first xj together i didn't do a build thread. I regret it now so i suppose i will start this one.

This is my 1992 cherokee, ole dusty. I recently traded my 00 323i for it to a friend and couldn't be happier. I also new the original owners so it just made since to do it. I helped paint, lift, and work on this jeep the whole time he owned it so i felt pretty comfortable picking it up.

Right now, it is just a nice DD/weekend trail rider. I plan on doing alot too it this fall and winter and making it a beast by next summer!

SO, this is where we are as of today.

Update time.

Had time today to get a few things done on my mile long check list.

Started the day with remounting my roof rack more stable and adding my fogs up top and wiring them.

Wiring them was kinda a PITA but i already had the switch and half the wiring from when my buddy had 4 on the rack rail.

Next i decided to finially tint my corners and taillights. I've been wanting to for awhile but haven't had the chance to get it done. I'm real happy with the results. The rustoleum spray tint ****s on nightshades.

If you look at my passenger door in the last pic you can tell i've already done enough damage

I tried to squeeze between 2 trees on a tight trail and didn't quite make it.

Thanks man.

Just ordered some more goodies,so i should have some more updates early next week.

I'm also still debating if i should just bump this lift up to 4.5 with spacers and shackles (i'm still on stock shackles) and run 33's or sell this kit and get the rc 6.5 long arm kit and run 35's. Hmm.

So,i finally got my decals in (pictures below) and had a day off to take the rig out to a local trail. To say it turned into an adventure would be an understatement. We ended up stuck on a rock very close to the trail head. Admittedly,it was my fault i went to far left and the tire slid down the rockface and we got stuck on the tcase subframe. After about 2 ours and the use of the stock bottle jack and rocks we got off of it.

All and all, it was a fun day and i'm thankful we got out with minor damages.

PICS.

Awesome build! I'm going to be painting my '91 xj desert tan and putting a zone 4.5" lift on it. I like the police ram bar, I want a front bumper that has a ram bar with a brush guard attached to it.

Like what you've done, I'll be following
