Well Gentlemen I figure its been long enough and I had better get to contributing to the forum instead of just being a sponge.

A little background on the Jeep; I bought her about a year and a half ago while home on leave in South Carolina.

Spec's
1991 XJ Laredo
4.0L
AW4
135K (when I bought her)
3-4in lift (unknown brand PO installed it)
paid 1800 bucks

She ran pretty good when I got her home. Drove all the way back to NY without a problem.

here she is when I first got her.

I've done a lot to the jeep since I got it aside from wheels and tires I've had my hands on damn near every nut and bolt in the engine bay.

New head and gasket
removed the clutch fan (I'll do a write-up)
99+intake
bored throttle body
704 injectors
cleaned and painted engine.

essentially I had the engine down to the block crank and pistons, everything else is new. The ***** was doing all this in my apartment complex where I do have a garage, but the garage has no power. So headlamp and cordless drop lights.

Here's the most current picture I have. trimmed the fenders, and replaced the worn out shocks with shocks from a 2012 JK.

Thanks Brother! I've spent a load of time cleaning her up. But I had a good base to start with. She lived her whole life in SC so ZERO rust.

Your welcome man!!! gotta love!... what did you use to clean and paint your engine?? any tips. i know it's not too complicated of a question but some products are better then others. mine is due for a deep clean

I used an engine de-greaser from auto zone, and a pile of srcub brushes. I forget the name of the de-greaser. its in a white can. after that I used a paint prep that is essentially alcohol. let everything dry then I painted it with engine enamel. primer, paint, and top coat three coats of each. A lot of work but I'm happy with the results.
