Haha yeah I love oregon. You totally need to check it out man. I can't wait to move back. The midwest is no place for a west coast guy. Don't get me wrong chicago the city is great put everywhere around it sucks compare to oregon. I miss my beach days. Maine would be sweet, from pictures I've seen it looks alot like oregon. Thanks man, yeah I need to take care of that battery and cables. They're pretty nasty. I'm thinking a optima battery soon maybe.

Is that a 1980 Regal Sport Coupe next to your Jeep in the 3rd post?

You could probably save a few bones and clean/paint the wheels while on your rig. Prep work is going to be a pain anyway you look at it. I have worked on a few wheels in my day. I suggest some auto stipper(gels up in cold weather, doesn't work) to remove the paint. A wire wheel on an angle grinder is a good idea to get rid of rust. Try holding on to a drill or die grinder with a wire wheel, it walks around like crazy. Sand/ scuff up the wheel a little, tape off the tire or spread petroleum jelly on the tire, then self etching primer, and finally paint. I found that spraying the paint at a distance gives to a little texture and helps hide any prep work that isn't perfect.

Yeah I thought about doing it with the wheels on the xj but I thought it would be easier to have them of the tire and everything. But i would like to save some money. Got some time to think about it, too cold outside now haha won't be doing anything about it till spring probably. Thanks for the great advice though. Definitely thinking about it.

So after two years of owning my xj and messing with vacuum lines, blubs and everything. I finally got it. When I saw this little dumb freaking light came on and go off when I shifted in and out of 4 wheel...it made my day.

Default The ablino rhino

So finally got a name for my xj, The Ablino Rhino. Latest news on it is I had to replace and wire my headlight switch and harness. It was one big melted mess causing my headlights to go on and off down the road. Got lots of dirty looks from the folks in the other lane haha. Doing a tune up on it tomorrow and then may be dropping the trans soon to firgure why its acting up.

^Cleaned up the interior a bit

^ latest junkyard treasure

It works!

Not sure if its going to work yet, have more measuring to do but I'm going to try to use to factory fog light switchs for my roof light bar that I will be making, I'm going to try to make them fit here ^ on the overhead console but I may have some clearance issues. I also I got a rear soundbar to install as well. It all works but I wont be installing these until I have the time to tear down my headliner and redo it, then I'll redo the liner on these too.

Did the center console with cupholders come with it or did you just add it?

I added them. Got the cupholders for a buck at the junkyard. They're alright, the only thing they can really fit is a soda can or a small coffee. No big gulps haha.

Latest news..
Went to the junkyard for a few things, wasn't planning on it but found a cluster with a tach out of a 90 soo I'll be saying good bye to my cluster with the big gas gauge soon.

Also got what I was really looking for, a new air box

Also have had an second transfer case for a while, I like the idea of having a back up but idk been thinking of selling it for a few extra bills to put into the jeep. We'll see

Soo just like always my list keeps getting bigger. Next up I'm going to try out the seafoam, replace my oil pan gasket and thinking maybe the injector swap. Thanks for looking. Hopefully I'll be having better more exciting pics up soon.

So latest news. I had to rewire my headlight harness connecter at the headlight switch and by a new switch. It melted due to a hack job by the po and a bad connect. Which resulted in my headlights flickering randomly on and off. Great feature at night. You see the road..and...now you don't! Haha

So the albino rhino has been running pretty rough and hesitating. I pulled a few of the plugs and the cap and

all of them looked like this and I found what I believe anifreeze under the edge of my distributor cap...maybe from the head gasket..?

Not much but still...
