Mine is also a white 90 Laredo. Almost identical when I got it except the rims. Is your door open or sagging in the picture.

I actually got rid of my LED dash lights. Didn't like how it looked after a few weeks. I kept them in the shifters so I can that the lights are on, just an old habit of driving with the lights on.
The mod is easy I can do it in no time now. 1. Remove the dash bezel, its 4 Phillips head screws. 2 are by the gauges, 2 are cigarette lighter and switch area. 2. Remove the 6 Philip head screws that hold the cluster in. 3. Reach underneath the dash to unclip the speedo cable from cluster. 3.5 Or pull the cluster toward you and unclip the speedo cable. 4. Tilt the cluster toward you to remove the electrical connector. It can be stubborn so a flat head screw driver will help unclip it. 5. Remove the bulb socket behind a gauge. 6. Insert LED bulb. 50/50 chance of it working the first time due to polarity. 7. Reconnect the electrical connector to test if the bulb was put in right. 8. Repeat 5-7 for the as many bulbs you are replacing. 9. Reassemble everything in reverse order. You might need a new thermal relay for your flashers. LEDs take less power and a newer style relay will help. I found this out when I had no turn signals after the mod. That should be everything. Might take an hour the first time around. Good luck. |

Upgraded my dash cluster lights with some red LEDs, still need to do the shifts but I'll have to order more bulbs for that one... Seems a bit dull, it's nice because its easy on the eyes but I plan on buying some white face plates to make it stand out a little more...

Unfortunately my dashboard cluster/running light fuse keeps blowing (this was happening before the LED instal...) so now its time to trace some wires and find the solution....

Shifters are very easy. One for the transmission and one for the transfer. Just need a flat head screwdriver to pop off the covers.
