Default Project "Red Beaver" is taking off!

well, to be totally honest, I've secretly been building without the knowledge of you fine men and women!

It's time for me to start the thread eh?

first off lets start off with my bone stock 1988 cherokee Laredo. I bought it for 700 off a buddy's dad that had it sitting behind a garage for 5 years. I saved her life! she came with the tow package with I believe the 3.73 gears and 154k miles. the thing didn't start of course but that wasn't going to be a problem at all. battery charge and oil change with restore and it fired up but smoked for about an hour. I had been using the front axle on my wheeler that i no longer have due to a tragic accident. i won't get into that tho. i swapped it in real fast. i spent around 12 hours one day detailing her. I completely cleaned the interior(IT WILL NOT BE GETTING RIPPED OUT!) and polished every sliver of chrome! shes so fine!

thats her! i recently wheeled her bone stock. she held her own on the trails. the front end is up because it was on jack stands for a while. the one below that is it on a really steep hill.

On the way home from orientation for my new position at UPS the tread on one of the front tires blew off on the highway at about 80. scary.

I bought 4 BRAND NEW 31 10.50 tires from pep boys for $497 total with mount and balance, road hazard and a mail in rebate. gotta love being a regular at pep boys. theyre definity ATs and theyre awesome. I had them on for a day at stock ride height after i realized they rubbed like crazy. i don't have a pic of that unfortunately but i do have one of it with the lift. i had some coils, shocks and shackles laying around the garage so i put them on one day. piece of cake. i think theyre rough country with right around 4 inches. I am dragging *** tho haha. I think the height is absolutely perrrrrfect. exactly where i want it (minus the *** end)

theres also a brand new dynomax cat-back system on it. she perrrrrs! hehehe

future plans:
1. headlights
2. blacked out tails
3. replace the fact. fogs with good lights
4. shocks all around
5. i can't decide if I should stay with shackles or get leaves
6. fix the front damage where it was wrecked previously
roof rack...(not a ski rack)
7. PAINT! suggest colors to me. not flat black
8. rock sliders
9. fender flares

help me out guys!

til next time.......Preston

i say keep it red, bedline the rockers and do a little fender trimming and remove the fenders.

black rims would top her off!

I have a '92 laredo and like the factory colors. The two tone also gives you an accent color for interior, undercarraige, and engine compartment. But if you don't want to repaint it stock configuration then i personally like xj's in silver or black.

If those are 31s looks like you are sitting on 3" of lift. Looks nice though!

I'm jealous of your automatic trans. What rear is in the truck?

I think the stock Red looks good. My Jeep has the same color combo.
