Are you keeping the bumper that sticks 4 feet out in front of your Jeep? I know you mentioned removing it but now where're talking about welding styrofoam d-ring tabs to it.

You approach angle looks to be about 5 degrees.

You also want to pass thru the bumper and weld them to the bumper brackets or some structural part of the bumper.

Butt welds suck.
This was me being informative and easy.

Most people you have to be an *** to for them to believe ya. It's become a habit.

nice start for a project man, the 44 in the rear is a huge bonus! are you daily drivin this thing, those lights on the hood would drive me nuts lol

and those tabs are not a 1/2 inch thick.. IMO make new tabs (1/2 - 3/4 inch thick), recess them through the bumper where that angle iron is on the inside, weld them on the outside and to the angle and around on the inside, they'll never break.

either way, nice rig and welcome!

Bahaha! I stand corrected.

If you could I'd suggest having your folks but a notch on either of the back two corners to make a "tab" that you could stick thru the bumper and weld on the back side.

How do you stand corrected? You said it wasn't a 1/2 inch but the tape measure clearly shows a 1/2 inch. Fail!!! haha

He was saying that the evidence you showed corrected him. Therefore he "stands corrected" and in this case you failed....
