decided to do a paint job this week and this is how it came out.
got the truck for 800 bucks put a new tranny (due to my own stupidity) replaced that 0331 head, installed a 3" rustys lift folded the fenders and threw on some 32s so far so good and still under cost. next is bumpers and maybe go a bit higher https://www.cherokeeforum.com/%3Ca%2...%22%3E%3C/a%3E https://www.cherokeeforum.com/%3Ca%2...%22%3E%3C/a%3E |

nice paint job btw, what did you use? |
Our Jeeps sure look good in Army colors.
Is that a rattle can paint job or cup gun? Either way, nice job. And welcome to the forum. |
I was under the car changeing the steering box and ignored a leaky tranny house. Said to myself ill fix that next weekend. Well it didnt make it till then. I blew the house on the parkway and fried the tranny. As far as the head my antifreeze was leaking into the oil. Took the head off got it tested for cracks. Ordered a clearwater head. (great service by the way) took a bit for all the gaskets/seals. The truck has been running great since.

I used single stage enamel. Bought 2 quarts and with the reducer and hardener added i still have alittle less than a quart left. Sprayed w/ a harbor freight spray gun at 37psi

Not bad at all for a budget paint job!
|
Yea it came out very well considering it was my first actual car paint job. Im very happy with how it came out. Just have to respray the roof and hood can still see some spray lines
