Jeepboy theres trails out east on the island that are pretty nice. Ive only been out there once but a few buddies go quite a bit. im not sure on the legality of it but it is state hunting land so people do drive back there. I know my uncle has a land access pass for it cuz he hunts. I havent had time to look into it yet though.

Clinton & Franklin county have alot of trails in the paper company properties (Domtar/Hammermill) You can get permission to ride up in the forests if you talk to the right people...I used to ride ATV's on them all the time.

keep it legal NOTHING ON LONG ISLAND IS LEGAL TO WHEEL

Hey No4x4Yet I am in East Northport also and have a wrangler jku. Chances you still check this is slim seeing as the post I'm responding to is 2 years old but if you get this I'm looking for local people to wheel with. Trails out east on the island as well as beaches are nice weekend trips and Northeast trail tours too. Let me know if you have any interest, or any one from Long Island for that matter. find soem one with high acres that is nice and ask just clean up after urself and dont completely destroy his land im sure some wont care if u make some trails...... also on the island in nassau if anybody wants to possibly meet up and wheel let me know.. pm me
