possible new ohv park
 

After a recent death in the family i find my self with several thousand acres of farm and hill country. After talking to many other off road enthusiats and hitting up w.e rock this year i feel the need to fill a whole in ohv parks. Im not getting into areas yet. but know its 2300 acres of hilly land with dense woods and rock outcroppings, its been a dream location for anyone with four wheel drive.
Im looking for more insight as to what is missing and things you want to see at a park. Do y'all want better camping, more service, classes to help learn how to properly use your vehicle? What do you want to see on the trails? What do you think is a fair price for a day of wheeling?

20-30 dollars i s a fair price, i want to be able to pass by every obstacle, i want rocks mud water fording, and maybe an onsite shop. Classes i dont like so much. but jmo

A good mix of entry level, mid experience and tough obstacles. Hands on "how to" Instructions to help newbies like myself learn the basics of handling different types of obstacles.

Im not going to get into locations yet since its 3-4 years away from opening. if you were offered a three day pass which includes camping fees, fuel discount, trail passes, how much would you pay for something like that. And what about a yearly admit ticket, pay something up front and get steep discounts on passes into the park. and unfortunatly i wont be able to let you pass all the obstacles. i do plan on different levels of trails for all vehicles.

for a whole weekend, including camping and admission, i would think somewhere in the $50-$75 range.

don't make it too complicated! id say 300 bucks for a yearly pass and 50 bucks a weekend per vehicle.

Look at some of the other park rates. Most web sites have the prices on them. I wouldnt get to complicated at first. Open up good trails and offer assistance if someone breaks or cant get unstuck on there own. You can always build it up as you go adding more things as the revenue is coming in. Get a good name by well maintained trails and facilities then worry about the shop and other stuff later.

ive been going to them as well as looking at websites. Talking to people and gathering info. I have over 50 miles of trails planned already and im not through all of the land yet. The trails range from a stock pass-ability to needing heavy modification, somelike like you would see at w.e. rock.

As for a location, think south, middle of the country.

Sounds like it is going to be a great park with lots of options! Good luck getting it all together!!
