DFW Area Trails
Does anyone know of any trails in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? I'm not looking for anything crazy at this point (my XJ is still stock), but I would like to get her off the road a bit. I've seen a few mentions of trails around Lake Grapevine, which would be perfect for me. But I can't seem to find out exactly where they are - and I used to live in Grapevine. I know how to access the walking/biking trails, but I've never seen a place where you can take a Jeep. Can anyone give me directions to this and/or any other DFW area trails?

The city has an ohv park. It is supposed to be about 300 acres. I haven't been, just seen it on the intrawebz. Do a search and you can find some good stuff.

i go to 820 and trinity. Pretty crazy out there though. Not much for trails either..just deep mud. If you want trails you'll have to go to Bridgeport. I'll be out there soon when I get my winch bumper in and my 8.8 on and new track bar.
I wanna organize a meet there with all the fellow dfw xjers |
There are some decent trails in garland off George bush and Campbell Rd also off Lebanon and the tollway in frisco. Let me know when y'all want to go and try them out

Yes Campbell rd and 190 is good and close also has a lot of trails, just watch for cops when leaving and going the owner doesn't like people out there because every one throws there trash every where and cant keep stuff picked up!

I'm not 4x4 at the moment , soon as I get gears or another axle I need to go wheeling .
I don't care fir mud I grew out of that years ago when I sold my Short bed Chevy with 8" lift and 38.5 gumbo mudders . Barnwell is a lot of fun that's where I took my xj when it was stock height on 30s and had a blast . I'm wanting to try out Bridgeport and Tolar . |
