Wheeling near ECU?

My girlfriend will be attending ECU next year, and I'll be visiting down there often. since there's almost no wheeling spots in MD. I'm looking for spots in NC that are near there.

Anybody? Sometimes when I visit I plan on trying to do some wheeling, but I have no idea if there is any down here. (currently on my way there now)

Maryland doesn't have anywhere to wheel? I thought Greenridge State Park was an area?

back in MD now, I may have seen you driving around actually. remember seeing a red lifted one with lights, but didn't look too closely, I'll let you know the next time i'm down there.

not anymore. Only place is private property, though I think some guy is trying to open an offroad park on his farm, and there was a quarry that did let some people offroad on their property, but they shut it down cause of 1 stupid neighbor complaint.

I think you can still drive on some roads there, but they closed the ORV paths and whatnot.

Oh ok, I've never been that way so it will be new for me. I guess you can consider dirt roads mild offroading :thumbup1:

probably going to be headed down this way late september early october for a weekend. bringing my blue jeep though, so no offroading for me this trip, but will gladly meet up with someone.
