I was planning on going. Are they still having it with the government shut down going on? Last I heard all National Parks are closed.

All the campgrounds are closed at the Badin Lake recreation area, the OHV/Horse trails are still open and the Eldorado Outpost will be selling passes. If I find out their Facebook and the call I made today are inaccurate I'm gonna be raising some hell. I'm going down there tomorrow and Tuesday (best way for a college kid with a lifted XJ to spend fall break), but I won't make the Jamboree. I'll be going the weekend after (Oct. 18-20) to participate in the workday.

ALL trails will be open. All campgrounds are closed but there will be camping on the trails. And the Jamboree is still on..... going to be a relaxing weekend.

Will we have to pay to camp on trails?

No. As long as you have a trail pass you can camp.

WOW.... What a great weekend. The weather was nice and the Jamboree was a great event. Had a big turnout...... LOTS and LOTS of nice trail rigs. The trails were a little congested but it was well worth the 3 hour ride.

Thanks to Friends of Uwharrie for a great event. the next one is scheduled for April.
