sounds good to me.
im not a 100% sure on the 8:30 thing. maybe thats when the ranger office opens? or the outpost? there are no time restraints on the trails as far as i know, people ride all day and all night.

from hwy 109, you take state roads to all the trail entrances. most of the trails have gates at the entrance but i've never seen one closed unless they have the trail closed down for maintenance. which during the OHV season is rare.

once you reach the outpost, you can ask them if you have any questions. they know just about all there is to know about the place. i'll be there the morning of the 1st so I can meet up with you if you need me too.

ok, I was confused about that. I saw times listed but also said trails were open 24/7. so since I need to get a pass, I have to wait until the office opens?

No, the outpost sales the passes. Idk when they open but i assume around 7? +/- an hour. $5 per vehicle for all day.

I plan on bringing my camera and taking alot of pics. I have a nikon D200. Right now I have 31's with stock suspension so not gonna be able to do as much as I did at gulches last year with stock tires, but will still have a blast. I know she can do some things from trails around where I live, like the "hills" on hensley road in rock hill right by HWY 160(fort mill hwy) and the bridge over twelve mile creek. I mainly want to go just to see the place and my son LOVES anything automotive, fast cars, big trucks, motorcycles, so hes gonna go nuts.

It'll also be nice to meet some people from here and learn more about jeeps, last year We purchased our first jeep and two weeks later went to gulches. had so much fun. it was just me and the wife. did blues, reds, blacks and a couple double blacks. broke a few things and learned a bit from the guys that work/play there. I forgot the dudes name, wasnt skip, but he showed us around and convinced me to do a downhill/drop off. forgot what it was called though and then a hillclimb which ended up busting the muffler, and then I think renegade alley? which I ended up ramming a tree going up. lol ( "GO" and "NO" sound a lot a like from the spotter..) overall it was an amazing time so im really looking forward to sunday.

Cool deal man. You can do alot of the trails on 31's and being stock, hell i did everything except 'Daniel' on 31's open/open. Im on 33's locked front and back now so im excited to see what she'll do.

Im bringing my camera also, not as nice as yours but it'll suffice. If only i can get the wife to get out and take good pics. If only i could take pics of myself... Lol

You'll have fun and im sure your son will also. What time you plan on coming? Sun?

Brent your set up is perfect for uwharrie imo. I haven't been up there lately since it's been raining like everyday for the past 2 months....it might be totally different. I know a group of guys that went up last weekend and a guy with an xj on 38s ripped out his entire front axle on Daniel lol.

I haven't decided if i'm bringing my jeep or the 4 wheeler yet, I'm sure i'll run into ya'll either way.
