As seen in my local Jyard
Well today I got a chance to walk around the local parts recycler a lil. Of course I spied a crapton of XJ's/zj's and s-10s. There were a couple of cool to me finds
there were a few Dj5's https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...08854792_n.jpg There were quite a few Scouts in various shapes of dissrepair https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...49779637_o.jpg To me this was the best find.. and the one I would like to build the most AN IH Ambulance It appears to have been built on a 1200 chasis. Hood didnt want to open, but owner of the buisness says it has only 30k on it and was bought at a county auction back in the 80's. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...64472392_o.jpg https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...09918315_o.jpg https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...07770013_o.jpg The box would need a lot of work as it appears that the lining has water damage.. but minus the windshield it is all there. Just think a new model drivetrain and a lil work you could have the ultimate tow rig/camper |
Sweet finds!
I had a 77 Scout II and a 67 Scout 800 right hand drive Mail truck. Loved the IHC's |
I grew up riding in a 66 Scout 800 half cab and a 76 Scout 2(we also had a 69 Jeep Commando at the same time period). We had a 1/2 ton International pick-up on the farm that you couldn't kill, it could out haul our 78 3/4 ton Chevy and our 73 1 ton F-350 crew cab. Its probably still running somewhere.
The new stuff is more reliable, comfy, efficient etc., but no where as cool as the "Old Iron" was! I like that Ambulance and the idea of a resto but that thing is going to be a lot of work. |
Yeah lot of work, but think if the pimp factor
|
What junkyard is that at?

Seriously this recycle yard it's kinda picky. It isn't a pick a part and he normally doesn't let ppl in the yard to look around unless you are looking for a specific part...then he skill tell you exactly where the car it's that has the part you need. |
