Default Re-uniting the DC metro area.

I just posted a thread in the North Atlantic section about re-uniting the DC and Maryland (DC metro) areas back to the Mid-Atlantic (as it should be).

I really hate that we as a central community got split and while I know this isn't a new thing...time to push for unification. Thoughts and discussion?

I live in the "mid Atlantic" and y'all should be in our category as well. There aren't any trailing spots south of stafford or east of Roanoke. I live in Mechanicsville, which is north east of Richmond.and I'd really enjoy meeting up with fellow Cherokee owners to rip some stuff up!

I've been on a number of auto forums, most recently was on LegacyGT.com a bit. They seem to get it right, and for the reason mentioned...to better coordinate people of similar geographical area who are familiar with the "community" even it DC is large enough to stretch to NC. Heck...most Marylanders spend time in the Carolinas way more than even going north of the Mason Dixon.

Bumping for more discussion. Need votes and discussion for management to make a confident decision on the change (or no change).

I too am baffled at why MD got stuck in the North Atlantic. In so many areas, we are considered a mid-atlantic state along with VA & DC. While MD was a "neutral" state during the civil war, it was south of the mason-dixon line (a longstanding divider of NE/MA region. I think it makes perfect sense to have MD in the mid-atlantic thread!!!
