Potts Mountain Jeep Trail, delayed opening 2013
The trail is not opened yet. The NFS is doing some repairs to the trail and clearing downed trees. I do not know a date yet but I will post it here when I do.

SWVa4W, the club mostly responsible for clean up and trail improvements on Potts Mountain will have their April meeting tomorrow night in Roanoke. Here is a link to the sight; http://swva4w.org/forums/index.php
Meeting info is in a link just under the main forum page title.
Yearly membership is only $20 and they are a great bunch of enthusiasts. Unfortunately I can't be there.

The trail is OPEN! The NFS opened it up last weekend.
I went to Potts Mountain today and along with our club pres and one other member, we hauled in 3 NF Rangers and all of their saws/equipment to do some much needed tree work!
They got a bunch of undergrowth cut back away from the trail. We picked up a whole lot of trash, made 3 new friends and had a really good time!
We plan on taking the rangers through a couple of times a year to look the trail over to see what it may need.
We will be cutting in a new bypass to "The Stacks" as soon as we get the go ahead from the NFS
