Potts Mtn, Oct. 5th
Hey folks, I'm running Potts on Friday the 5th with some fellow XJers from PA.
We are meeting at The Pines Campground at 9am.
Come on out and wheel but make sure your rig is ready! I will have to be home by 4pm so anything short of a medical emergency I will have leave you behind with the others.
31's, at least one locker, skid/rocker protection, fire extinguisher, a full size spare, and most importantly RECOVERY POINTS front and rear

Ran Potts today, made it across the trail in record time! We left the bottom at 9:45 and rolled into the top parking area at 12:15!
The guys with me ran some of the obstacles and had zero issues. My tranny ran in the red all day, 280 degrees, but I feel its a sender issue and not really a hot tranny(fingers crossed)
Good times with some new friends! We had a great lunch at Pine Top to finish off the ride.

I think he was at 3" and 31's, open/open and recovery points. Some good spotting and rock stacking got him through(pat myself on the back!), he is also a very good driver and has some nice MTR's that grip like a ****!
He had some trouble at Rocker Knocker and a little trouble at The Stacks but mainly because he ran out of flex. His t-case drop caused some high center issues that I had to stack rock for to kick him over stuff, no big deal though.
All in all, that Jeep wheels good for being as stock as it is. Its a cream puff with only 100k on the odo, its a baby with a lot of road ahead of it.

Now that hunting season is kicking in we will want to run the trail on a Sunday. I don't like disturbing intoxicated men with guns! Really its more of a respect thing. I wouldn't want them shooting where I'm wheelin and I don't want to be wheelin where they are hunting.
Maybe we can go up some Sunday in November or early December.

If you have recovery points you will be fine.
