Sound like fun! I am guessing this run will be in the Currituck Outer Banks?
Half an hour South from Nags Head are forest trails, empty beaches and fun terrain.
FYI The Facebook link is not working.

I live on Hatteras Island, just a bridge away from Nags Head but a whole different world.
Hit me up for any info on the area, there are great nature trails/primitive roads in Nags Head and Kitty Hawk (hike/bike/kayak).
The beach and trail driving will be here on Hatteras and the Northern beaches of Currituck County, Corova & Swan Beach = 12 miles of public road on the beach.

I'm signed up for this.

Thanks, I will keep this in mind while we are there. I have had my ol' TJ and Tacoma on the beach there many years ago. Not sure what I will be driving down this year. Either the wifes Hyundai (gas sipper) or my Dodge 3500 which is lifted on 37's and doesn't get bad fuel mieage but, I just hate putting miles on it! Depends on what all the wife wants to bring along and most of the time it's everything but the kitchen sink!

I am getting old and I honestly couldn't stand being in the XJ for that long of a ride. I could trailer it but, then there's the issue with parking for the rest of the family and friends that are going! Been there done that and it can be a pain.

I live in Manteo. Where are there trails to ride in Hatteras?

Steve,

I'm coming down for the Mutiny with some friends. We've been to Corolla before with the Jeeps. Interested in exploring other areas. Will you be joining?

Does Buxton require a permit?

I was looking at this...

^ That would be a walking trail for tourists. What I speak of is much lesser known and does not cater to crowds. The access still goes to a few private homes. More than 2 jeeps at a time can be difficult because each trail is a dead-end with little turn around area.

Doubt I will attend the Mutiny for a number of reasons.

The woods does not require a permit, it is state owned. Beach driving requires the permit, National Park land. I have a permit, maybe we could get together for a joyride..

I work 6 days a week, but I am defiantly down for a Sunday ride, next time it's to rough to go to the beach. How can I get up with you?
