Default New Guy Needs Suggestions For First Jeep

Hi,
I am a high school student in need of some good suggestions for my first vehicle! Im on a limited budget. I would like a lift big enough to fit 32's with plenty of flex.
Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.
Posting pictures would help!

o key doke...

Check out this article: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/low...ks-tips-32980/

i would suggest that you implement as much from that article as your budget will allow but also dont forget to budget for the other important things that arent suspension related.

Thank you for the link. It helped me realize that i dont need a huge lift just to get good flex. Do you have any tips for tires?

dont forget that you may need to regear depending on the tire size...

i run 32" tires without regearing, with the 4.0. no problems. which mine is trail only and probably don't go over 35 mph. no sway bars with 4" lift gives you plenty of flex

since your on a budget i'd say rustysoffroad has the cheapest (excuse me, less expensive) lift components. i run there stuff without a problem. everything works good for a lifted jeep...as far as tires, i would buy a cheaper lesser known brand like mastercraft. they have some pretty aggressive tires for cheeper than you'll get an bfg or other name brand...if you want a good name brand tire i would suggest the Dick cepek radial FC-II. it is a true all terrain tire that performs well on the road in the mud, sand, and snow (never really tried any rock crawling here in south jersey) and you'll have a hard time finding a bad review on it...this is all just my opinion but i think others will agree its not a bad one, and i figured i'd give you my $.02 since your asking

i would start off with blocks for your springs if you dont have enough money for a suspension lift.

but once you get enough money, i would say go with a rough country, thats what i have. 4'' should do you good for 32''

this is just my .02 but for 32's i would go a 3 inch lift which can be peiced together spacers shackles add-a-leaf froint coils even rear springs the only thing i don't think is a good idea is blocks on stock springs the cherokees have a had enough time keeping them from flatting as it is and as far as regearing i wouldn't regear till you get to a 33 but i have ran 33's for over a year on stock gears and you can notice the sluggishness in the city but highway is kinda nice till you want to pass or go up big hills
