the coast guard just shipped me down here to Yorktown. wondering what there is around here. anybody wanna give me a quick rundown... good places to eat, wheel, hangout on weekends... anything really...


today i saw a green ZJ prolly 3-5 in lift with 31/33s front bumper with headlight guards and a roof rack

There is Middle Penisula Jeep Assoc. They have a meet up every Saturday At the Dunkin Dough nuts over on Jefferson. Good group of guys. I have belonged to this club for 7yrs.

Sadly there isnt any places to wheel, unless you have permision or are tresspassing. As for eats... well over on Jefferson or in any of the city/town centers you can get what ever you want. Just dont be afraid to try different hole in the wall looking places.

ok thats awesome, im not sure if were allowed to leave base this weekend, but if i do ill definately shoot over there. any specific time?

The coffe run is normally from 10 am to 11am maybe a lil later. Good group of guys show every weekend. I show up maybe once a month depending on work schedule.

myself and maybe another guy from my class might run over there this saturday if were allowed off base, would be nice to atleast meet some locals.... you think youll make it?

Not this weekend I will be at work. There is also the clubs monthly meeting at Pomoco Jeep over on jefferson On thursday night. I will be there for that.

were not allowed to leave base this week till they tell us were allowed to lol. so hopefully were off by this weekend and i can make it over there saturday

Thats cool.. if you tell them I sent you you will be welcomed with open arms. The club is a good group of peeps. Most are in the service, or were in the service.

I see the dunkin donuts meet every weekend and im surprised at the amount of jeeps that show up. I need to stop in and chat... Have all sorts of questions concerning my newly purchased xj

Good group of ppl.. There are only a few XJ's around, but still. Stop on by.. they have them every weekend. Some weeks turn out is real good.
