Yep i've been doing the same. Making preparations for this up coming storm.
only thing is i've already booked my vacation for a beach house down in nags head at the 4X4 Beach in Carova. Im really looking forward to going in November so I hope the house and that area are ok after the hurricane that would really suck if stuff down there got destroyed. Then that means no Vacation.

Wife and my boys are headed west tomorrow morning. Me and a buddy are hunkering down at his place to fend off looters if the need arises. :gunsmilie:

i was hoping ya'll wouldn't get hit so bad but dang man. ya'll are gonna be fine. i'll be expecting to here from u sunday or so. tie the jeep down.:001_tongue:

making last minute prep work. gonna be at the fire dept all day sat and sunday morning. we're gonna be busy as hell. gonna be running calls, blocking traffic and removing tree's from the roads in the XJ. damn tornado's weakened all our tree's around here so they're gonna be falling left and right with the slightest breeze. people around here need a break, two tornado's, earthquake, and hurricane. all in 3 months. mother nature's pms'ing.

I hope that everyone in the coastal areas will be okay. I'll keep you in my prayers!

I worked on the Jeep for about 24 hours straight and got a week's worth of work done to get it back together.

I stacked all my lawn furniture in the corner of my patio and left the Weber where it sits. If it moves I will put it somewhere else but as the storm gets closer I find myself worrying less as it hasn't increased in intensity and it looks like it is gonna stay east of us - unless the Cape Fear sucks it in like it often does.

I think it will pass us out by the gulf stream so it shouldn't be an issue.

Heard that UNCW was evacuated. I've got family out at Atlantic Beach that are coming in today. Also, my buddy is up in Ocean City, MD and they got evacuated and had to be out by 12 last night.

Everyone be safe and I hope this thing doesn't tear down too much.

LOL power is already out at my house.

Yay . . . should be nice and hot by the time I get home from work.

Be safe everyone.. Im also all prepped, just picked up a 6500 watt generator last week thank god, all the cars and boats all fueled up just incase we need to ciphon some gas for the generator. Checked and cleaned the gutters, my basement is all prepped, got my pumps where the water usually gathers up.. trying to stay ahead of the game.. Luckily my stove is gas, so i can still cook. be safe everyone... Iw ill be video taping for sure.. maybe we can get some other people to video tape and post it up after the aftermath... god bless and be safe..
