Gulches in Laurens, SC.
There will be a trail ride at Gulches in Laurens South Carolina. We are trying to keep gulches open by taking a bunch of rigs up there at once Feb. 19th not sure of the time. I believe the price is $20 per truck $5 per passenger. E-mail me for a quick response to questions, I cant check this regularly anymore due to no iphone update lol. Mycamelisded@yahoo.com. I know for a fact we have at least two rigs leaving from Shaw AFB SC, one TJ and my XJ. Help keep this park open! Support the cause

I know you said you can't check this on the regular but maybe someone else knows. I doubt my wheeler will be able to make this and I don't really want to wheel my daily through there (won't be to fun fer me) so is there a was someone can donate for the cause? Is there a site setup to help out?

Triad Trail Junkies is plannig on being there in full force:tank:

The price for the weekend is 50 per vehicle, no passenger fees, including camping.
Lots of NC clubs will be attending and have named the ride Save the Gulches ride. Triad Trail Junkies 4x4Everyone Trail Jammers Big Dixie Boggers Carolina Trail Blazers Rockcorps 4x4 All NC based groups, and all groups will be attending this on some level. I'm not sure about full force, because it is a longer haul and things come up, but I would expect the same group from the VA trip plus a few extras. @ jeremy, I was told a guy took a stock sami and wheeled the bypasses for 2 days and had a blast. |
I'm gonna take my dd out there. And wheel on the milder trails. I don't know of a site to donate or if they even have a website.
I'm glad that there is going to be a good turn out it will be nice to meet the people on here lol now if I could just meet the moderator of usjeeps.com and show him that I'm not a bot that will spam his site lol |
Eric, If I can get my tcase gears in and case put in I'll look into going. I won't be able to wheel it hard but It may be there. We'll see!

For right now our group's planned attendance seems a little down.
I was hoping to get my tax refund before this trip, I still am waiting for my W2 from a Job I had earlier this year. So doesn't look like I will be able to afford to tow my heep down unless my Dad decides he wants to go, and he tows it. My brothers blue Xj hasn't been fixxed yet, need to make a PAP run and grab some Driveshafts, u joints, and maybe a few axle shafts for this trip, but he said that for right now he isn't sure if he will make this trip. He said either Gulches or DPG, can't do both. Tim said he was 80% for the Gulches trip. Scott is 100% I believe Chris (Yj on 36s, didn't make the shoe creek trip) is 80% Jason is 80% I believe also? List goes on, so Im just hoping we can get our **** together and make this but if not there will always be a next time, for now we have an event planned for every weekend and it really adds up. |

Great run if you were there you know what I'm talking about. I found some weak spots in my jeep like non-extended brakelines and no 4lo. I'll be posting some pics up later in the day or tomorrow. Did anyone hear the final head count? Last I heard it was somewhere around 500 people who signed up.
