This crash is crazy. I deliver that neighborhood every Friday and drive by it for my other job all the time. Thankfully the pilots ejected.

I didn't post a link because I posted I'm the midatlantic section where I figured people in this area would know about it.

Just a couple small unjuries so far, 6 including the pilots. I've got a couple friends that live less than 1/2 mile from the crash.

Me too. One that works close enough to see the flames. Crazy stuff.

My families thoughts and prayers go out to those injured.

I'm not seeing any fatality reports yet...hopefully none will be forthcoming.

Yeah they just recently said they didn't have any missing people, so they called off searching the rubble. Good news for sure. Could have been much worse.

Latest news is that 6 people are missing. Honestly, I was surprised they were saying no one was injured, but it's never good news to here of missing people.

As of this morning the 6 missing have been found, no serious injuries, and those who were taken to the hospital have been released. The pilots have reported that they did not dump the fuel which leaves it to a mechanical failure that dumped the fuel making the F-18 a 5500lb aerodynamic rock in the air. The pilots both ejected very late, trying to get the jet to the water and they're lucky to be okay.
