Anyone from Raleigh/Durham area? Also looking for a installer in this area...

I just moved here and was wondering if anyone here is from my area, I've seen some HUGE XJ's down here. I've owned several lifted XJ's when I lived in Mass. my current one is stock but I want to maybe lift it, any good independent install shops down here? I'd be interested in some meet up's if anyone here is from my area and wants to hang out and get a beer.

There are some guys on NC4X4 that are in your area I believe.

there is a shop called Four Wheeling of Raleigh over by the airport. in high school, my buddy used to take his CJ7 in there all the time to get it worked on.

I'm moving to raleigh in a month and looking to meet up with some people and find some local wheeling spots

There are a few places but most are outragously priced. We mostly do our own installs around here. I got a good budy who is real good at this stuff. He does most of my work at his shop at his house. We just installed 5 inches of lift on mine. I live in clayton wich is about 15 minutes east of raleigh. Hit me up.

I live in Wake Forest, North Raleigh. I know of a few good places for service/installs..
  • 4Wheel Parts has a store on Glennwood and Millbrook Rds.
  • Above Motor Sports on Capital just above 540. ( I use these guys )..
  • CarWorx on Garvey Dr. off Gresham Lake.

I'm also interested in a meet-up.. There are tons of great places around here that are fun and can accommodate the hundreds of responses were going to get.. lol..

newbie here

New to the jeep owners family, new to the forum, got me a 2000 xj to work on, oh boy! It's got a 3" lift and some nice tires, interior, bumpers, winch and other extras. Picked me up a wrecked 2000 for $500 with decent parts all over it. So once I change the drive chain I'm looking for some friends to go wheeling with.
