Default Any must see's in the mountains?

Hey everyone. Im from florida and im heading on a roadtrip after christmas to the mountains. I know that we're staying near pigeon forge and then asheville. Is there anything up there that is really cool or somthing i should check out? Also, does anyone think that its going to snow?

Theres already a lil bit of snow up in Boone. You should try snowboarding or skiing if your interested in it. Im still trying to plan a trip with my friend to hit the slopes.

well there is alot alot near pigeon forge...cades cove is free if its not snowed out closed....blue ridge parkway is scenic around asheville, ummmm gatlinburg has a weak ski resort... asheville has good local beer spots....there is guided atv trails a bluff mountaun near pigeon forge that are fun but costly, some indoor skydiving....

I did skiing when i was a kid and i really want to snowboard but me and my girl are on a tight budget so i dont know if thats going to happen or not.

What is cades cove exatly? And do you know of any good waterfalls?

Asheville's mall has a great selection of assorted gummies.. I would go to the mall just for that reason if I was in town.

cades cove is in the great smoky mtn national park and is a huge loop that is heavily touristed...i saw a small bear last time and lots of dear..there is abrams falls thats about a few miled round trip thats fun but not the best falls....good swimming spot in the summer though

Hendersonville is a nice tourist are near Ashville.
Chimney Rock (spell check) is not too fat way from there.

There is alot of places you can go up there for little expence.

I am about an hour south of asheville. some cool places are Cades Cove in Tn. if i was in asheville the Biltmore Estate would be something to check out. i really enjoy going there

My gf has been to the biltmore. She said it was pretty cool. I think were gona check that out.

Bluff mountain sounds cool but i dont know if we can afford it. I would really like to do that though. I know were deffently gona go snow tubing somewhere.

I think i paid 120$ for me and my fiance for bluf mtn...it was the intermediate level that took you up some fun trails and it was two hours but only bout 1.5 hrs of riding....i been wanting to check out biltmore and chimney rock is cool...last of mohicans was filmed there

if you're going from pigeon forge to asheville, i'm guessing you're taking hwy 23 to i-40? If so, you'll pass Maggie Valley on hwy 23 which is where Cataloochee, a ski/snowboard resort is. If you want to go snow tubing, they have that right across the street (cataloochee.com has some info on tubeworld, i think it's called). It's not a huge hill but if it's for the little girl in the picture, she may enjoy it!

sucks that the blue ridge parkway is closed

i dont know of many other trails around here...sorry!
