Annual CF OBX Run
 

It's that time of year to start planning for our annual CF run! This year it will be August 9th. As usual we'll meet at the Sam's Club on Battlefield Blvd in Chesapeake, VA at 7am and caravan down to Corolla for some time on the sand. Here is the actual address of the Sam's Club:

We will be doing a potluck meal so food, drinks, paper products, canopies, tables, and at least one good sized grill will be needed. This is a family and pet friendly event so please keep that in mind when planning your "to bring" item(s). Bring your own chairs and respond with what you will be bringing. I'll keep an updated list running in this post so please refer to it when picking something so that we don't end up with too much of one thing.

For some(like myself and a couple others), it's easier to meet in Corolla. Do you have any idea of what time you'll be rolling in there? I'm still working out the logistics on my end as to if I can make it, but I'm really trying to.

we tend to be at the beach access around 8:45 - 9.

Last weekend the traffic was backed up 23 miles by 10am. Took some people over 4 hours to make a less than 2 hour drive.
It's very important to get through Currituck and Kitty Hawk by 9am!

Wont be able to attend this year, which is sad for me since Ive been on every one so far. Just wont be able to swing the funds with starting a new job, and moving. May try to make a run later in the month, If I do it will be open invite.

I was wondering what turnout is expected to be? I haven't head about the event until this thread.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it out there.

Unfortunately the event must be cancelled...unless someone else can head it up. I've had some things come up that cannot be avoided and will not be able to attend.

I'll be going on August 10th as will be a few other Jeeps.

Does anyone in your group know the backroads between Carova and Swan Beach? That is where the fun stuff is.. But some of the trails are too tight and twisty for more than 2 jeeps.
