Law says it has to have every mirror it came with from the factory..... And it needs to have doors on, unless the top is off(Wrangler only)

Usually have the safari top up, but I've been ticketed with and without it. The fine is cheaper than driving back to their courthouse, so I just consider it part of the cost when I go to Rausch

When I took the PA inspection classes we were told that for vehicles like a wrangler that it must be inspected with the roof and doors on since that is the way it came from the factory otherwise it would fail safety inspection. Funny right? I wouldn't fail one but if a cherokee came in with no doors I wouldn't even bother pulling it into the shop.

Not true on CJs, because the top and doors were optional from the factory. Wrangler, yes.
Maryland is similar but not as strict. My buddy failed safety because his driver side vinyl door window had a tear, and they refused to pass him when he came back without doors. He had to borrow a good set and drive there with them installed.

in PA, as long as you have two mirrors you are legal. It can be any combination of rear/side
I dislike the middle of the hatch tire carriers though, cant even look over your shoulder to see what is behind you. I prefer one that mounts on the driver side, it is immensely better for the sake of visibility.
Oh, any of you guys have a tan lifted xj w/ black wheels/tan body and a little aluminum patch riveted on the driver door to cover a rust spot? There was a girl in one at royal farms the other day in wrightsville, where they shorted me a thigh

100% wrong..... Don't forget, I'm a current PA inspection mechanic.... This I know for a fact is completely wrong, I even asked the instructor while I was in class many years ago. If it came with 3 mirrors, it needs all 3.
