We were all obsessed with skateboarding back in the early 00’s. With Bam Margera, Jackass, and CKY leading our way.

God we did some dumb stuff. At the height of it, we made toilet bowl bombs (water bottle, insert tin foil rolled into a snake into water bottle, fill with toilet bowl cleaner, screw cap on) and threw probably 4-5 of them in random areas of the Penn State York campus. Mind you, this was like a half a year since 9/11. So everyone was on edge.

Spring Garden cops had us surrounded in minutes. We all escaped, except one dude. We went back to hide out at one of my friends houses. Next thing we see is a cop car with our buddy in the back of it coming around the corner.

The cops made some big show of it and later that night they had a meeting with my parents. We were going to have to write apology letters and do community service. But for some reason, no charges were ever filed and it became a distant memory.

new to the site. but i live in stewarstown area. just picked up a " new to me XJ". previous owner got into a fender bender and just wanted out from underneath it. so timing was perfect as i was looking for a donor jeep to take some parts from to use on my old XJ. well the old Xj is in pretty bad shape so i am now in the process of building the " new to me xj" for overlanding/trailer use. I have a lot of parts coming in and im just trying to find the time and warm enough weather to get all the work done.

also does anyone know of a York Cherokee Club? im interested in starting one if there isnt one

Welcome, Im located in East York. Yes, there is a York County XJ Club. I see them from time to time. I don’t think I’ve ran into a member on here. I think they are mostly a Facebook/Instagram group. I’ve seen there stickers on a few XJs around the county and I see on their Instagram that they have hoodies and t-shirts too.

ive seen one jeep out on 83 with a York County XJ club sticker, but when i go to google i found nothing so i wasnt sure if it was a failed attempt to start a club or what

Welcome, I'm from York county as well. Can't say I've ever seen any of those stickers around my area though. Keep us updated on your progress if you're ever interested in taking it up to rausch.

Thanks! It went kind of dormant here lately. I’m sure I’ll see you around. I saw a few Jeeps at Red Robin at the York Galleria Mall with the sticker a few months ago. Must have been an club outing.
