"Open space"
Does this open space mean that we are allowed to do anything in that area? I live right along the powerlines with thousands of trails through them. My neighbors all around me also own some of the area as do I. I was wondering if an area called...(town name) Open Space with a gate on it that's open. would be legal to ride? It's owned by the town, why not? I see truck tracks and other dirtbikers in it sometimes. I took my bike down it the other day and I'd say it's a good 5-6 miles of water/mud.
I don't ride on the powerlines in any way either. Only legal riding, if I had a jeep.
Edit: This is here because I'm in Connecticut, aka, North atlantic.

I would contact the city/town who owns the land and make sure. General rule of thumb if you don't own it and it's not posted as open to the public always get permission before entering. Just because others do it does not mean it's legal and ethical. Not sure which department you would call.

Open Space is usually designated for walking/hiking, dog walking and biking. NOT motorized access. VERY rarely motorized access.
