If I get my jeep sorted out I will def Want to go.

I just finished the rear drum brakes and all I have to say is F! drum brakes.. stupid springs.

I would almost guess the stuff I pulled off was factory, both self adjusters were snapped, everything was coated in 1/2 inch of grime and muck. It took longer to clean then to wrestle everything together. I do have like 2x the brake pedal firmness then I had before though so it was worth it.

I do look forward to the ZJ disc brake swap I plan.

I know the 8.25 is a direct bolt in, why not go with a Ford 8.8??? Just a matter of cutting brackets and rewelding and you would have a beefy rear...

As I lack a welder/welding skills. I go with the bolt in stuff when I can.

a 8.8 with 4.10's,LSD and discs would be nice. Something to consider.

Course, going with 4.10's would mean I'd have to upgrade from the 31's. That would mean a slightly bigger lift/trimming.

How bad would Daily Driving on 4.10's with 31's be? I mean I already get 13.4mpg now.

Only thing bad with LSD is if you decided to go w/ a locker in the future, you would have to change the carrier. 4.10's would put you right back in the power band on 31's and should help w/ mileage. Also gives you some play as you could go with 33's sometime in the future.
I get that mileage w/33's and 3.55 gears in my zj.
