Despite being ignored, i figured I would update everyone.

I picked up the mazda3 this morning. My mom decided to dump it in my lap to drive it home, great idea since I've driven stick about twice. Had it pulled to the street by someone and off I went onto the street. I didnt stall, jerk, or burnout the whole ride to work. Even parallel parked without and issue.

Drove to school in 20 minutes of stop and go traffic without an issue. Took my final(now im done with summer classes) and went home.

My dad wanted to teach me to drive stick better so he took me out...first hill and I stalled. So then we practice hill driving from a stop in a parking lot. Stalled some, burned out some, and did some good stuff.

All in all i think im doing very well with the mazda and I cant wait to see my mpgs. I love driving it.

Yes both axles need to be the same gearing. If not bad things will happen.

As long as the ratios are withing 1% or one another (front and rear) you will be fine.

But that's diving into random axles that don't always offer matching sets. Garretfab taught me that.
