Well, today is the day, getting my tags for the xj after work

on a side note, friend gave me two cbs last night, had one installed in his ford exploder and the other has never been installed. The one is a tiny radioshack brand which I might install on the back of the center console, but the new one is a cobra 29 with the weather radio too, so I dont know.... anybody ever try to squeeze a full size cb in their center console? lol

My Cobra 29 is installed above my rear view mirror. Out of the way, and sometimes forget it's there...

appreciate it jimmy, does your 29 have wx? I am having a hard time finding a dual band antenna that doesnt look like an rc car. I wanted to get a firestik but heard that if you want the wx to work you need a dual band .... anyone know any different? I love the cleanliness of the firestiks but I really like the wx capability also.... damnit another decision to make lol

Sweet! Hopefully I'll see you around whenever I'm back in town this semester. Gotta check out your rig, also I'll be back in 2 weekends but up in westminster, gonna meet with Jim, Silent and maybe that Doc fella too if he can work it out

(Just ask Clown about the 30 emails he sent me with questions lol)

Im down with coming out for a m&g and installation.

Just FYI:
Only way to properly tune a CB is to be in a clearing with no trees, powerlines, or other vehicles around...
even more reason for a meet and greet, then go offroad into a field together and tune our antennas... wow... no homo...

I used a plate of steel screwed in using the visor clips in the center. Then the CB bracket is screwed into that. All the electrical runs across the roof and down the a-pillar. While I was at it, I installed a mirror with map lights.
