I don't know where these so called guides get their torque specs...75 ft-lb is way too low for a lug nut.

I always go to the factory service manual as the definitive guide. From my collection of FSMs, the proper torque spec is:

1988 XJ = 95 ft-lb
1989-1992 XJ = 80-110 ft-lb (progressive)
1993 XJ = 95 ft-lb
1994-1996 XJ = 80-110 ft-lb (progressive)
1997-2001 XJ = 85-115 ft-lb (progressive)

I did.... I'm looking to head up there in the next couple of weeks. Wanted to see if anybody else was interested and see if we could come up w/a workable date

Depending on whos is interested, we can decide on trails then. I'm good for blue-blacks, and maybe Snakebite

I'm down but can only do Sundays at this point. I work on Saturdays. If you give me two weeks notice I can try and take off.

I'm heading to trails road either this Sunday or next.

id go with anyone willing to have a ride along partner...

apparently i broke a few things this past weekend...
I didnt think i was that rough, but it happens.. nothing serious, just dont have the money just yet to fix it AND go play again...

Just got my vehicle down from the lift and...

this past weekend I beat up on my Jeep and now have to/need:
I have to replace my Tie Rod & Track Bar and Drag Link Cause I bent them pretty good
Need Alignment because of the the tie rod & track bar
Need to Re-Balance Front 2 wheels (lost some weights)
Need Passanger side Motor Mounts (going to do driver side at same time since Im going to already be in there)

All this made for a very slow ride home...
i could only go 35mph, took me almost 2.5hrs coming by way of 26 from hagerstown...

but I was able to do every obstacle I came across so im pretty happy overall

im going to take care of the balance and alignment on thursday
just have to adjust the alignment for the bent parts

then i will order the parts and do the rest when they come in
and then of course re-align it
