Gonna run a set of 35 SSR's to start with. Then get some 37's. Front 44 is almost complete. Waiting for new u bolts, u bolt plates and ext. S.S. brake lines. Going to do a SOA in rear with a 6" stretch and way back shackles. Some sort of comp cut to accommodate the stretch. Will need new F/R drive shafts. Rear D44 is getting all new backing plates, drums and all hardware, shock tabs, spring perches and a truss before installed. The tub was stripped a week after I got it. Not sure if I'm going to raise the gas tank or not ? The tub will sanded down and painted around this time next year. Not sure on the color yet ? Leaning to Orange and Blue or Silver and Blue.

Well I still have to put the front bumper on then throw on smaller tires and go to the inspection place!!
I finally got a 96 XJ to pass, took me about two weeks to get it together. I took it to a place in Churchville and the hit me with a long list of PITA things. Next XJ I buy, and I am looking for another one, I am gonna have the owner put it through inspection first.( at my expense ) Not saying it has to have a sticker but I want to know what it needs to pass. By the way, I live out behind Harford Community College, and my location has a lot to do with my buying these XJ's. |
Where by the college? That is where I go and went to hs at Harford Tech.

My daughter goes to HCC. My son is in Harford Tech ( Welding ). Not sure if you know it, but HCC's Welding Instructor Mr Maguire had to retire last year. His replacement is a prior student of his, who graduated from the Welding course, joined the Navy, and now came back to teach Welding at Tech. |

This is my first Jeep ever and I have had to put alot of work into it to get it road and trail worthy. I had to replace the floors and since its a unibody and i know its gonna get thrashed on the trail i used 1/8th inch plate steel never know when youll find an i.e.d. on the trail lol. Than i sealed it all with por 15 undercoating and bedlined the lower rockers after i took the goofy moldings with the red stripe off. Now its a good tint job away from being properly stormtroopered out. Now on to the lift and tires hopefully soon. I wheel it alot out in the desert and its never let me down even at stock height but a little extra clearance will be nice.
