I'm in Harford County, Md as well.

I have a stock 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited 2WD...

The only thing done to it so far is Euro-style tail lights and an off-brand Ebay Cold Air Intake.

Any active groups still in the area?

Thanks!!

Wow this use to be the most active forum on the site. Where did everybody go?

Anyway, long story short...Does anyone in the central Maryland or southern central PA area have a welder? Been fighting "Death Wobble" and am going to try the weld a washer over the egged out bolt hole for my track bar to eliminate that before swapping parts. Have a new track bar, a nice thick washer with the proper sized hole and a new bolt. Just need someone to weld it in place. Of course success or not I shall compensate whoever for their time.

Might make a fun day trip. I shall ponder your offer.

I could get the guy at work to weld it but don't trust certain people not to rat me out to corporate for getting my private vehicle welded on company time. The bastards.

Blew up my transfer case in the YJ, and I'm looking for some information on swaps.

It's a '93 YJ 4.0L, and I have a '98 TJ 4.0L NP231 behind it with an unknown SYE. (Thanks Pudgy, it lived a good life.)

I'm looking at getting a TJ NP231 with a super short SYE, or possibly getting an NP241 from a Rubicon if I find one.

Anything I need to watch out for, or any recommendations of things I should upgrade while I'm there?

Granted, Nieeal is a better welder then me... And probably better then anyone on this forum... But I'm pretty good, I think Tim will vouch for me on that. I'm in South Central PA, about an hour from Baltimore. Maybe half an hour closer then Nieeal? I'd be willing to help you out if need be. But, another option (I did this before I swapped to the d60) is to drill the hole out bigger, and run a bigger bolt.

If you just want a 2" budget lift for the look and very light off-road use any moderately capable home mechanic can do it with basic tools. If you want a more substantial suspension lift there are a lot of local 4x4 guys who can help. I'll check into some
