Long Island, NY meets
hey guys i just wanted to see if anyone on here knows of any truck meets on the island and if anyone knows of trails and places on the island to go off roadin. i mean me n my buddys go behind pilgrim state and its not "legal" and if there arent any meets i think we should make one.

wtf is behind pilgrim? some dirt roads? security over there is so ridic its not even worth just driving around on the actual roads. i know it probably connects to another spot i used to go to years ago but i knew people were getting ticketed there left and right... wasnt worth it for just some dirt and sand hills.
btw... no one will tell you spots online, and if they do, they're dumb. |
outbreak off road on facebook and instagram

I'm living in PA right now for school, from Long Island. I know a spot in Wheatley heights/ Dix Hills, and although its not "legal" its a cool spot and cops never bother you. Anybody interested PM me your cell number and I will text it to you, because as one of the other guys said above, its a dumb idea to post spots on LI, because word of mouth spreads and all of a sudden houses are going up where the spot used to be.
There is also the "legal" ways: -Get a season recreational vehicle pass, and: -Drive way out east to Montauk, you can go offroading through Hither Hills -Drive on the beach (end of Ocean parkway, either end) This way isn't legal, but I've done it before and never had a problem with cops. But gotta be smart about it. Go right after a storm has rolled through. Or go when the cops will be occupied with a major event on the island (Like when they have the airshow at Jones beach this summer, that's a great time to go) -Hot Water St. in Manorville. look it up on Google. If I'm not mistaken, its about exit 66-68 on the LIE Your last choice is to ask around. Some people on long island own a couple acres of undeveloped land, (i.e; my dads friend built houses. he had just purchased about 20 acres out in Calverton to built a small community... He let us offroad there like 10 times before he started building. And since long island is so Phucked trails wise, then when someone offers 20 acres, or even one, don't be lazy...make trails. make an obstacle course. stack rocks. do whatever. Its not Rausch, but its all we got without getting tickets, or worse, losing our trucks. Good luck guys, and remember, always plan ahead and be smart. |
TP & HWS are not legal trails, they are hunting access roads. all of the "trails" that branch off of them are illegal.
the beach passes arent "legal," they are 100% legal. get a pass (suffolk, state, town) and use it properly and there is nothing no one can say to you that makes it illegal. |

Decent for what though? Not anything built.

I dont even bother with trails and stuff on the Island. I havent gotten in trouble yet but my buddies and alot of other people i know have gotten pretty bad tickets for trespassing in the suffolk area. So im just gonna save the offroading for the beach this summer and if i go to Rausch creek at all.
