OK today i went an purchest haha a GARMIN NUVI 205 ,now i have to figureout how to use the dam thing haha, so what do you guys think about the garmin nuvi 205 ?

the 205 is an ok in-car unit made solely for street navigation. might as well turn it off when you hit the trail tho.

and the 255 i use (that my GF took to freeport tx with her....) works great! let me see if i can find you that topo program :balloon: |

http://www.expertgps.com/gps-receive...n-nuvi-205.asp you can also use the pre loaded topo maps(which are okayish) (does not show elevation lines, but does show elevation, brooks ect...) by unselecting metro map. |
another program is called easy GPS.... its a free decent program used mainly for way points only tho....

i got a simple TomTom and it shows most of the trails,, didnt even know they all had names hahah

the garmin nuvi is great for south jersey trails , most every trail back wharton state forrest is on a map and shows up on the gps , mine works great back there , i also do alot of geo caching so i have a hand held delorme pn-40 wich is amazing for being out in the woods for all the un marked places
