Also didn't get as far with the lift as I wanted tonight I started on the front and getting the rubber out of upper contol arm bushings for the poly bushing is a pain almost about to say screw it and put rubber replacements in it.

Cool thanks for the info. And from everything that I've read about poly bushings I will never use them. Rubber only for my jeep.

New bushings are on my to-do list. Like I need to do it yesterday bad lol. How long of a project is that and where is the best place to get them?

I've never read anything bad about poly bushings they serve there purpose as they were intended for. They will make noise if not properly lubed when instaled. Less flex yes, stiffer ride yes but I'm replacing all the control arms with adjustables and flex joints. But poly upper bushings and a slew of new parts should hinder the death wobble this jeep is so blessed with.

As far as buying them I got them off ebay for like $14. But you have to use the stock cup the rubber one is vulcanized too. I looked last night incase I say screw it autozone had them in stock for like $8 a pice

Poly has a tendency to squeak regardless unless you lube them during regular service.

They don't flex. This will cause them to wear out faster if you do any moderate/hard wheeling and put more stress on other components.

Transmit noise and bumps much greater than rubber.

Poly is great for a track car. Not a 4x4.

On a side note, I've made my first official recovery. Guy tried to pull into a parking lot and overshot right into one of those huge snow mounds that deldot makes for our jeep only parking spots :) Was happy to help him. I stopped for 3 others but they were too stuck for me to help out. I don't have my frame tie ins on yet so I didn't want to overdo it.

Just checked it out. Just over 4 hours away... Doesn't seem too bad. I assume you've been there before. Is it a decent place for beginners like myself? I want to do RC in Pennsylvania for a 101 trail.

I have not been there yet. I have a few links of map files with way points I will post up. I have read there are few technical trails but most are fire roads with camping spots along the way. Easy trails with great scenery, fishing, hiking and camping.

Plan on it taking a while. 16 days for me. I did it online.

I'm just ready for the snow to be done. It's been fun "stretching my XJ's legs" in the snow but.... I'm ready for warmth.
