No i didnt put a new needle in it, theres no shimming possible on the stock needle. Unless you put some #4 washer under it to richen it up. (22cent mod) i plan on getting a klx needle that is better cause it alows for a little richer setup threw put the power range, as the stock klrs are lean put the box. My main is fine, its actually slightly ovet rich when the main kicks in which imo is fine for high rpms, keeps the cylinder walls cooler when up past 6k. I just cant figure out if it lack of fuel or to much fuel on the lowside of the carb. in therie it should br sligtly lean, which is okey as long ad ots not being beat on. Which i dont. Unless its not a fuel issue and i got some whicky woos playing with my ignition wirring. Cause its to cut out and miss fire. But its not a brand new spark plug in it. -.-

So you still have a CV style carb then? I swapped to a PC20 style on my little Honda and it made a big difference. Was easier to tune as well..

Yes sadly Kawasaki put a cv carb on it. Same carb that was found on some harleys. Cv carbs suck, they never get the same throttle responce as a regular volicity style with a regular buttefly valve. And they are was easier to tune exspecally with low end throttle response.

It sucks when you got more then one project gping on. I got the bike project and the jeep. Its difficult to determine which one needs parts first or that should be finished first.

Well, I'm back in an XJ. I'm taking my wife's 93 XJ to fix up as a daily driver / family vehicle. The Toyota is going back due to some legal issues.

9I got dw on wensday leaving work. 35mph shound end starting shimming, i guess that old track bars finally gave up its ghost.

Good news is, bike has new tires on it. Spooned on the front one wensday night, and rear one on Friday. Used a cat toybox as a stand.

Well, got another LS1 from a Trailblazer SS to get rid of. Will trade for a running mid 90's 4.0L engine.

Not really a score for me, I'm not a fan of them. That's why I'm selling or trading it off.

The things I do know about this style of LS1, it has the deeper rear sump and made for higher TQ because of the SUV weight. So perfect for MJ/XJ conversions.
