Default Off-road Ride 7/1-2/17 West MIA anyone welcome

This coming weekend I am gonna ride through some trails West of Miami. I invite anyone who wants to join along. Great opportunity for first timers. Check out my Instagram, pablogt2, to see some of the rides I do over the weekends.

Some of you may have noticed that very few people go offroading in South FL. All of the official clubs in the areas are Jeep enthusiast clubs, not to be confused with off-road clubs. They do little to no wheeling and when they do go off-road it's in North FL or out of state. And you have to pay to be a member, extra to go to their events. I will always post weekly info on upcoming rides.

I will post up the ride meet up later this week!

Last night was a fun ride. We ended up not going to The West MIA trails, instead we went over to The HUMPs down in FL City. Don't have pics To post but check out my Instagram at pablogt2, plenty of footage from this 4th of July weekend

Hey man, here's a group you might be interested in. Post your rides in this thread too 'cause most of the SF people hang out in here https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f40/so...al-4x4s-57009/

Been there done the group and club thing. If there is one thing I have learned it's that none of them really go out wheeling.

lets get something straight tho... I am not trying to start a group or club. I am just offering to take anyone out who doesnt know any better. I just post my Instagram info so they can get an idea for the terrain

Whoa, easy there fella. I guess I misspoke when I said "group". It's just a thread in this section where MOST of the people in south florida post up. No "group" or "club" or "organized religion" involved.

There's not much to the terrain, big mud holes and coral rock bottom
Same as 137 ave and sw8st
Same as bird road and 157ave
Same as krome
Same as the humps

People do go off-roading just some don't have funds, or the time to
I'm glad your trying to get things going for guys in the miami region but
are any of the places you go legal?
Meaning location where we're not trespassing on someone's else's property/government property/let alone fpl property where your jeep/truck/4x4 will get taken away with no hesitation....

No, there is no disignated off-road areas. If I am not mistaken, legislation is about to pass barring any type of "performance recreational offroading, I O W mudding". The police do not enforce these laws, as long as your just wheeling and not starting fires or partying out there it's all good.

Hell, did you know its also illegal in FL to have less than 15$ in your pocket when your out and about. I would bet money A LOT of people break that one. The police however choose not to enforce it. Not condoning breaking the law but my point is some things are strictly enforced and others aren't like offroading.

I see your logic, however - wheeling in places that are not "legal" can lead to the landowner feeling pressure from activists to get the place shut down.... which can lead to a trespass citation issued. Just be careful.
