New to North West Florida!
Hey everybody, I am very green! New to jeeps, new to this forum, and also new to the Crestview area!
I was wondering if anyone knew of any shops in the Crestview/Pensacola area? I need some work done to my '01 xj before I can drive anywhere.

First, thanks for the welcome. The work I need is some re-gearing and a SYE installed. I picked up a '01 with a2"RE BB, Ford 8.8 installed but no SYE and it is geared diffrently. With the pinion offset I dont want to cause any needless damage if I dont have to. I tried calling Enhanced Offroad but the number is disconected.

I believe I need one due to the offset of the pionion on the Ford 8.8. When I lift my foot off the gas pedal there is also a nice growl coming from the the driveline. Not sure if this is going to cause any major undue wear on seals or anything. Is it a viable option to go the route of the RE Hack-n-Tap?, or just save the money for a real SYE? As for Google the only shop I can find in the area is is Enhanced Offroad and the number has been disconected.

you said you hear a growl? Check your U-joints on your driveshaft ... I just had to replace mine, literally it was being held on by one side ... and I drove all the way from Vegas with it like that. It was awesome.

I checked them, and they seem to be fine. There is no movement (play) in the U-joints when I try to move by hand.. just whole shaft moving. The growl comes from when I left off the gas before I come to a stop. I had a regular shop up the road check it out aswell and they said it is due to the axle not being stock (non mopar). I am not sure if it may be caused by the D-30 and F-8.8 being gearded diffrently? Is that a possible problem? (other then not wanting to use the T-case!)
