Hey welcome to CF. If I were buyin a newer XJ I would stay away from the 00-01 because they have the low pinion front axles. If I had the money to invest in a newer XJ I would get a 99' Sport 4x4. In 97' they changed to the new body style which I like, but in 99' they changed the intake manifold to the equal length runner design which gained a good amount of power and still had the HP front axle and you could get the 29 spline C8.25 rear end... but thats just me
