Looking for a set of four good used 30x9.50R15 tires
I am looking for a set of 4 used 30x9.50R15 tires that still have at least 50% tread left on them. I am willing to pay $150-200 depending on condition.
I am in the Jefferson, Georgia area. I don't mind driving a little ways to pick up but probably not more than an hour away. Thanks.

I looked at the re-treads but the shipping is a killer

245/75-16 is a common tire and it is 30.5x9.6
Libertys and a lot of Wranglers use 16" wheels. I got lucky and found a set of Liberty wheels with tires for 75 bucks.
If you are stuck on 15s, 245/80-15 is 30.4x9.6
Good luck finding those though.

Is the 245/75/15 a pretty common tire? If so that would be close enough. I was just looking for something a little more beefier than the current 235/75/15's that are on there. The tread is shot and I am due for newer tires so....
Thanks for the info

Well I just saw a set of 30x9.50 on CL with two tires having 9/32 tread and the other two have 11/32. The guy will take $200 for the set of 4. They are BF Goodrich. I think that might be an okay deal. It would be better for $150! But I don't think he would go for that.
Anyone, does that sound like a decent deal? $50 per tire with that kind of tread left?

Well, I was pointing out the 245/75-16 because they are on craigslist all the time, usually on some Jeep wheels. I find very often that there is not much price difference in used tires and used tires already mounted on wheels.
I don't think 245/75-15 is very common.

My bad. I just went back and looked at them. They are Goodyear Wranglers. There is a set of BFG's but they don't have as much tread on them.

Cool. I will keep my eyes peeled for these as well. Would I need more than 2" of lift to fit larger rims on the Jeep?

Well I went ahead and drove over to look at the Goodyear Wranglers 30x9.50x15's. I am glad I did. They were almost like new. So I grabbed them for $200. I felt good about it.
Now I will purchase a 2" budget lift for $75 off of ebay and get it and the tires put on. Should look a little better until I can put a real lift on it. I will post pictures of it afterwords.

Does anyone know about the rear shackle lifts? The one I am looking at is a Rough Country budget boost with 1.5" spacers up front and adjustable shackles on the rear from 1.5-2". Will I get a true 2" lift on the rear if I use the 2" holes on the shackle?
I am new at this so...
