Help 😳 I have no tools and want a cheap 6.5" lift!!
 
Does anyone know where I can get my 6.5 lift done on my 89 xj?? Without breaking my bank that is

Is it your daily driver? If not, I suggest that you install it yourself. That way if something goes wrong with any part of it you'll be able to fix it. Basic hand tools are really all that you need.
With the money you save you can get a locker(s) or winch.

Tire discounters does them, in ky there's a place called performance offroad. They do installs. Check to see if there is a 4x4 shop near you.

Where can I buy the basic tools I need and can you give me an estimate on how much it will cost?

I can tell someone hasn't done any research what so ever. Do you already have the lift? If not, Google is your friend. There are plenty of kits out there for all different budgets. For instance, a long arm lift will be more expensive than a short arm but will get you better results offroad. For that much lift, you need to also look into things like sye and custom rear driveshaft

And I was talking about how much it would be for the tools smart one.

Your op says you're looking to get a lift installed without breaking the bank so I'm the smart one that read a post that said nothing about tools. That's the post I was referring to.

But tools.... not too expensive. Harbor freight sells good tools for not too much. That's where i buy mine

OP, you really need to spend the weekend and do research, and then more research and when your eyes are falling out, even more research. You need to call around YOUR local area for estimates. Plus, a 6.5" short arm RC lift is beyond 💩. Were gonna help you as much as possible but we wont spoon feed you

I agree. However, they are great with the no questions asked replacement. And some of their stuff is decent. I know they aren't the best quality wise, but they are cheap and kinda work

OP, you may want spend some time familiarizing yourself with everything that goes into doing a 6.5" lift(ideally done before purchasing said lift), and decide if you really want to go this route, or sell that lift and go with a higher quality lift of the 3" variety.

3" lift with trimmed fenders & a set of 31"-33" tires is a time tested & proven combo that'll handle most anything you throw at it. The money saved can go to gears, lockers, bumpers, etc...

6.5" is a LOT of lift, and brings with it a laundry list of additional mods that must be done just to function, even more to retain any semblance of street driveability. With any lift, but especially one that extreme, Rough Country wouldn't be my first choice.

Your call, but something to consider.
