Im near Paris TN, there is turkey bay in a federal park, land between the lakes, I was not impressed on an ATV, lots of bigger tire killing rocks on trails, not very big either, but still fun, anmywhere is fun beside the pavement. Around Knoxville you have win rock near Oak Ridge. Chattanooga has a great place as well , I forget the name but its up 27 a ways. I and a partner own almost 10 acres on the milington side of Memphis that is un developed and would be a great spot to do some mudding or possibly events, like a mud bog or just a getaway if anyone is interested in buying, $12,500 gets it.

Adventure Offroad park is right outside Chattanooga.
Aetna Mountain is here also, but you have to know where to go.
Coppingers Cove is a good place to go also.
Prentice Cooper St park has some offroading, but you can take any daily driver there.

Also Golden Mountain park is above Sparta TN

There're plenty of back roads to explore up towards new concord KY, a little off road but I really don't know any big place. Like I said before Turkey bay is ok , you are supposed to pay a few bucks, and it is in a federal park. Land between the lakes

I used to love Windrock for the sheer variety of trails. Anything from stupid crazy to gravel roads. I haven't been in years though and I have heard it's changed a lot. Some say for the better some say not.
