HAHA!!! That it does!
Heck yeah man! Looks like a nice Jeep you had there. Trail Monkeys 4x4 and CherokeeJeepKrewe are probably the closest facebook groups to where you're at, but check out FourPlay4x4 as well. We have a lot of members in the Central Florida area, and quite a few in the Citrus/Crystal River area.

Been so busy at my new job I haven't had much time to get online or work on my XJ. Only thing I've done to my Jeep recently was to add HID headlights so I can actually see where I'm going at night!

Being new in the area I didn't want to just pass judgement on the scene so quickly but I have to agree with the sentiment here.
I've seen more Jeeps down here (JKs/TJs mostly with a couple XJs) up on 22+ inch rims with some kind of star pattern wheel, or loads of chrome all over, than anywhere I've been in my life. Most are lifted so damn high they're unusable for anything other than dunking in the mud/river.
Then when I was added into the Tampa Jeep Krewe I was astonished by the lack of basic knowledge when it comes to working on our vehicles.

Well, welcome to the conversation, everyone! I think we're on the right track with the "Meet n Greet n Wheel" idea (thanks, Lee).
Sweet! I'm still waiting to hear back from Walt about the 8.25 axle with 4.10s he wants to trade... but from what he's told me, just not a matter of "if", just "when".

I'll try to catch a picture of it next time.

Saw a bright white late model XJ lifted about eight inches with some big chrome rims and low pro tires (also had that "Carolina lean" or "bulldog" **** going on) passing under 19 headed towards clearwater the other day for the second time.
I'll try to catch a picture of it next time.

There was a guy named Eugene in the CJK group on facebook that had a bright white '91 or '92 with about an 8" lift that looked too pretty to take off road. But it was built right. IRO suspension, billstein shocks, long arms, one ton steering, and the wheels were 15" fuels with 35 or 37" tires. It wasn't all my personal favorite, but it was a really nice Jeep... and he would actually take it wheeling every now and then.

I know exactly which one you're talking about. I've seen it too.

I will say though when I see a "pretty" rig the first thing I take a look at are the wheels and tires...lol
That's the tell tale sign for me...tires with slim sidewall and real aggressive tread = mall crawler, tires with some sidewall/bulge = possible use off the highway...lol

I get cha, by no means does a rig being "pretty" mean it's not capable.
