New daily 2013 Kia Optima, 2.0 Turbo, very stock, staying that way. Damn good dad car, enough power to get out of it's own way while being comfortable as hell with every option a bigger guy could ask for in Central FL.
Shopping for an XJ comes next, probably after the first of the year.

It's about 19 miles ish using mostly back roads. I'm heading up this morning with some tools, some flat bar stock, and some time. We'll see if I can get this thing limped home today

My front spring bolt broke one time to where the spring came out of the perch. I had a HD 3" ratchet strap (like the ones on the back of tractor trailers) I wrapped around the axle and ran up to the cross member. It was enough to hold the spring in its perch while idling home. (NO main roads, just a back dirt road)

I had one suggestion, as I've done it. It's just not as safe as most here would like but it got me home at 10mph max..

Flat bar worked, got it home safe and sound. You can check the pics and such in my current build listed in my signature.

Got a set of stock leafs for cheap from a local Jeep guy. I'll be swapping those out maybe this weekend and then this pile of junk is ready to move to the new house later this month safely.

Well, I need to move on from my Jeep project. I don't have the time or energy to work on it anymore. My plan is to sell everything I have all together. The Jeep, the whole drivetrain from the donor XJ, and all the miscellaneous parts (I do not want to part anything out at the moment). There's an amount I'm shooting for but I'm really not sure on what it's all worth. Here's my "build" thread and a pic of the wheels on it now. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/rh...st-2wd-225224/
