Default Proper Weather Protector?

Hello All,

With living in the Florida, rain can be a simple fact of life especially when we are in our rainy summers (and now it seems even in the winters). As it happens, for any older Jeep Cherokee I get (1976-1983) I will have to park the jeep outside as I do not have either a garage nor a carport. As these older jeeps are effectively large hunks of metal, I was curious what kind of wax or protector, etc., is recommended to use on the truck in order to help guard against the weather as much as possible? Or, conversely, should I go to a car wash and have the wax/sealant mix option applied to the car a few times a month?

Thanks all! I am excited to get a FSJ and am looking forward to using it, but I also want to protect the Cherokee and help the truck last as long as possible.

1 Wash, 2 clay bar paint, 3 wipe with alcohol. Put your choice of wax. Then top off with a product called bead maker. Water will jump off then. Will also help the sun. Repeat once or twice a year. Obsessed garage, Ammo nyc, Chemical guys, The rag company, you can get good info from these guys.
